So NZ without Taylor and possibly Boult, with Guppy also on the hit list. Is Broom up to it at 4??? Other choices? Can they hold out the might of South Africa once more? Can Kane carry this burden again?

On a side note... is it normal that a visiting team have to ask for the practice wicket to be shaved of green grass before a test in India. Surely that would be obvious...groundsmen trying to pull a sly one??? is this common (serious question)?

Gotta say I am looking forward to the upcoming NZ Ind test series. Realistically it should be India's series to lose. I am looking forward to seeing how Santner goes, whether NZ will go with a 3 spin attack, the "battle" between Kane and Virat, and obviously how this pitch will pan out. Been a lot of talk about the pitch....hopefully it doesn't turn from session 1 but I'm thinking it may well do. Ashwin will be licking his lips. Bring it on!

Congratulations NZ and Matt hobden on another win. Looks like Kane Williamson is finishing up what Baz Mccullum started !! To draw an Indian parallel, Baz was Ganguly for bringing them close (in 2015) ... and Kane will be MSD and take them all the way in 2016???

I was just wondering Damien Martyn...did you ever get sledged much while playing internationally? Was it tongue in cheek or was it quite threatening? Does it affect you as a batsman? Who was the bowler / fieldsman (if you can name names) that sledged the most in your time?

    My 2 cents worth:
New Zealand need to go with Santner and McCullum, pick one of Milne, Boult and Southeee (Southee to miss out). Boult may find a bit of swing in the opening overs and milne is express. Williamson and munroe can also bowl part time spin.
Elliot and anderson will also prove to be a handful on this wicket if the ball holds up (as expected to) and bowl cutters with the field on the 30 meter circle waiting for those catches.
Taylor's form is scratchy but if he clicks in the later ...  more

How should the ICC change the T20 tournament to better accommodate the associate nations??? It does not seem at all fair that the Netherlands play one match, lose to Bangladesh by 8 runs...and are out of the tournament. Give them a chance!!!! Back to 4 groups of 4 teams..with the top 2 teams from each pool going through to a super 8 please!!!! That will mean at least 3 games for associate teams and we all know there will be upsets! Are the ICC afraid of upsets and India (god forbid) going out ea...  more

What strategies will be employed at this years T20 ya think? Opening with a spinner again could be a realistic option...taking the pace off the ball from the get go may be unsettling for the big hitting openers. Seems to me that a few teams are toying with the idea of having big hitting numbers 3 and 4 and possibly 5...could it be that teams are looking to build a little until the 10th and then go?? What strategies would you like to see?

I have been trying to find information on this, but can anyone clarify whether the DRS review system (including LBWs) will be in place during the T20 world tournament in India?

So what do we think? Apparently Jesse has expressed an interest in playing international cricket again. With NZ's top order failing against the Australians I say "welcome back"!!! Huge wasted talent!
