Round two between the Steelers and the Browns got underway Sunday long before kickoff.
While heading to the locker room at Heinz Field, Pittsburgh cornerback Cam Sutton sported a white sweatshirt featuring a cartoon-version of a Steelers player appearing to urinate on a Browns player. Sutton’s teammate, defensive end Cam Hayward, was also seen wearing a “Free Pouncey” shirt in response to center Maurkice Pouncey’s two-game suspension stemming from last month’s brawl with Browns players.
Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was suspended indefinitely as a result of the Nov. 14 helmet-swinging incident involving Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph. The Steelers benched Rudolph ahead of the game in favor of Devlin Hodges.
As for the Browns, it seems they have Garrett’s back. Wide receiver Jarvis Landry was photographed wearing a “Revenge” sweatshirt on game day, while head coach Freddie Kitchens was pictured this weekend rocking a “Pittsburgh Started It” shirt.
On Saturday, a spokesperson for the team told ESPN the shirt was gifted as a “joke” and that Kitchens “understands it’s not a good look.”
