Kings XI Punjab has decided to trade off Ravichandran Ashwin to Delhi Capitals, the franchise’s co-owner, Ness Wadia, said on Thursday.
As per the deal, the Punjab franchise will be trading Ashwin with another spinner, Jagadeesha Suchith, and will also get a sum of Rs 1.5 crore. “It was a pleasure working with Ashwin. We enjoyed our time with him and I wish him all the best,” Wadia told Sportstar.
With this, Ashwin is expected to be paid around Rs 7.6 crore – his auction value – by Delhi Capitals.
“All the parties are happy. We wanted to get a spinner on board and we are happy to have Suchith with us,” Wadia said.
