The Australian media and some of the current players may not waste any opportunity to criticize Virat Kohli, but Michael Clarke thinks highly of the the Indian captain.
The former Aussie captain feels the Indian batting stalwart is often misunderstood for his on-field antics, especially in Australia, but acknowledges that he also has enough number of fans Down Under.

Applies to the whole team. India have not won a series of any significance outside of India for a number of years now. For Kholi and India to be considered a good team they need to win on all continents.

I think there was still some cynicism around his captaincy record since he has not won anything on bouncier tracks (in his defense, he has not yet toured any "pacy" country yet, since taking over fulltime : Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe have been his only tours. That being said, not many teams are travelling well these days, least of all the Aussie team, so I think his record isn't all that bad...
